Combined Band
NDP 2026 will also feature the Combined Band comprising the SAF Central Band, SPF Band, Singapore National Cadet Corps Command Band and the National Police Cadet Corps Band. In collaboration with Martial House, the Combined Band will also kickstart NDP’s Chapter 2 (after Chapter 1 – P&C) with a piece specially composed by Bang Wenfu, Music Director for NDP 2026 and Military Expert (ME) 2 Gordon Tan.
Presidential Gun Salute
The Presidential Gun Salute comprises 151 participants from the 23rd Battalion, Singapore Artillery and 35th Battalion, Singapore Combat Engineers. The traditional 21-Gun salute is the highest military honour conferred and reserved only for the President. It is timed to match the President’s inspection of the parade. This year, four 25-pounder guns on the Mobility 3rd Generation (M3G) raft will sail around the Kallang Basin and engage spectators along Kallang.
Parade Format
For the first time in NDP history, both the Parade Entry and Exit will take civilian contingents through all the spectator aisles across the National Stadium, creating an immersive 360-degree entry and exit experience that brings the contingents closer than ever to spectators. More than a proceeding, the modality of this year’s Parade Entry and Exit symbolises Singapore’s journey as one united people. As the contingents move through the stands, spectators become part of the parade, symbolising Singaporeans from all walks of life coming together with a shared purpose, reflecting our enduring aspirations to progress together and the spirit of this year’s theme, “Majulah Singapura, Go Beyond!” – a call for Singaporeans to go beyond for one another and the wider community.
In another Parade & Ceremony first, participants from the civilian contingents will be interspersed within the Parade formation. This reinforces Total Defence as a whole-of-society effort, reflecting how Singapore’s security, resilience and success are strengthened through the collective contributions of individuals, communities and sectors from all walks of life.
Parade Transformation during National Anthem
The Combined Band and civilian contingents across the social, psychological, economic and digital pillars will come together in formation during the National Anthem segment to showcase the NDP2026 theme “SG GO BEYOND!”. This segment will be enhanced with multimedia elements to create a cohesive and visually engaging experience, accompanied by the State Flag Flypast, symbolising the enduring resolve of Singaporeans to shape, strengthen, and defend Singapore’s future.
